INFLUENCER: More Than A Pleasing Face

Being an influencer, I believe, should be more than a pleasing face otherwise just let the brands pick celebrities or top models from Top Agencies. On the other hand, from a wise marketing perspective, social media influencers indeed will cost the brands less than choosing celebrities to represent them.

This blog post will encourage the readers to scratch the false assumptions that to become an influencer, one must be conventionally attractive. Many influencers are famous for not fitting into stereotypical standards of beauty and that's the riveting part about all of it. Most importantly, this blog post aims to widen the horizon of the influencers and aspiring influencers on becoming the best version of themselves in their crafts.

Nowadays, many consumers don't just look for those who can affect their purchasing decisions but are looking for these following traits among the influencers:

To be an influencer, you must affect one's character positively. Operative term: INFLUENCE (in a light, positive way). So make sure you straightened out your principles because in this role, you have a large capacity to affect one's life and we do not tolerate influencers that encourage the viewers to plump on negative and poor actions. Embrace your authenticity with complete responsibility. "Thinking before clicking", as cliche as it may sound, is going to be a timeless rule in the digital era.

Make income-generation the least of your objective. We know so that being an influencer can open a fresh streamline of income especially when you've established yourself well in the industry. Many are succeeding that they opt to do the role full-time and even resulting in creating a fan base. The downside is that some influencers are forgetting to produce quality content just because they know that these fans are going to indulge.

Know what's relevant. We adore an influencer that knows the relevant things going around. Need I say more?

i.e help in spreading awareness such as the truth, important facts, and information.

Furthermore, the secret is that regular USERS of social media has the most power to choose who is popular and not. Social media is composed of only two types of people and these are only either the ones you can please or the ones you can piss off. Truthfully, influencers can use social media better than anyone because they pretty much already have mastered the art of "curate"; Knowing WHAT to post, WHEN to post, and HOW to post however, it is still a challenging task for influencers to produce authentic, quality contents especially now that users can easily distinguish paid or sponsored contents.

With all energy,
